Luxembourg Visa

An application for a new Luxembourg passport will require completion of an application and payment of fees. For further details and other travel related information, contact the consular section of the Luxembourg embassy or the Luxembourg consulate nearest to you.

Required supporting documents might include and are not limited to any of the following:

Passports Required, but not by the following:

  1. Holders of National Identity Cards issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands (`Toeristenkaart'), Portugal, San Marino, Spain & Switzerland
  2. Holders of passports expired a maximum of 5 years issued to nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Germany (expired one year only), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino & Switzerland
  3. Holders of a Luxembourg Identity Card issued to alien residents of Luxembourg
  4. Holders of a resident permit, mentioning the Luxembourg or Belgian nationality, issued to alien residents of the Netherlands
  5. Holders of a Belgian Identity Card, mentioning the Luxembourg or Dutch nationality, for aliens or issued by the Belgian authorities

Passport Validity :

Passports must be valid for 6 months

Entry Requirements : For US citizens only.

A passport is required. A visa is not required for American citizens for business or tourist stays of up to 90 days.

In an effort to prevent international child abduction, many governments have initiated procedures at entry/exit points. These often include requiring documentary evidence of relationship and permission for the child's travel from the parent(s) or legal guardian if not present. Having such documentation on hand, even if not required, may facilitate entry/departure.
