What is eVisa to Armenia?

Armenia eVisa is an electronic permit that allows eligible visitors to travel to Armenia for a certain amount of time for a variety of reasons.

For example, you can use e-Visa if you are travelling for sightseeing purposes, business affairs, medical care purposes or if you are planning to do short term studies, attend conferences, sporting events and visit family or friends in Armenia.
The whole application process can be completed online from whatever place you are at a given moment. After approval, your e-Visa in a PDF format will be sent to your email address.

Armenia eVisa types

Armenia Visa Types

There are two types of e-Visa to Armenia. The difference between them concerns the allowed duration of stay. Travelers can choose from the following:

  • a single-entry short-term visitor visa: a tourist visa allowing a single entry to Armenia not exceeding 21 days; e-Visa remains valid for 3 months.
  • a single-entry long-term visitor visa: a permit issued for tourists willing to stay in Armenia for a bit longer – they can plan even up to a 120-day stay in the country, while an e-Visa stays effective for 6 months.
  • eVisa to Armenia Validity

    There are two types of eVisas to Armenia. Both of them are single entry type visas and they differ in terms of the allowed duration of stay.

  • a single-entry short-term visitor visa: issued for 3 months (90 days); its holder is allowed to stay in Armenia for a maximum of 21 days.
  • a single entry long-term visitor visa: issued for 6 months (180 days); its holder can plan up to a 120-day stay in Armenia.
  • Important note: Both short-term and long-term single-entry visas can be extended for up to 60 days upon the forwarding of a request to the Passport and Visa Department of the Armenian Police Office.

    eVisa to Armenia Requirements

    The following requirements should be fulfilled to submit a successful application for Armenia e-Visa:

  • You should be travelling with the same passport which you used to apply for the eVisa to Armenia.
  • You need to be a user of a valid credit/debit card or have access to any other available methods of online payment to cover the fee for e-visa (69 Euro or 129 Euro).
  • You need to be an active user of a valid email address to receive the Armenia e-visa after its approval. e-Visa to Armenia must then be printed out.
  • Make sure your internet connection is stable to submit your online form without any interruptions.
  • To open, fill and submit an online form, you will also need any working electronic device such as a smartphone, laptop.

    eVisa to Armenia can be obtained by going through a simple 3-step application process, which will only take a couple of minutes to be completed. These 3 intuitive steps are as follows:

    1. Complete the online visa application form by filling in your personal details, travel and passport information and next attach the required documents and recent face photograph. After double-checking the entered data go to the next step.
    2. Choose your preferred payment method to pay the fee for the Armenia eVisa.
    3. At the end, check your inbox, the approved e-Visa to Armenia will arrive at your email address. This usually can take up to 3 business days.

    You must apply for your e-Visa at least 3 business days before the date of travel to Armenia so that your request processing can be done smoothly and electronic visa will be issued on time.

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
    You should prepare the following documents prior to the online visa application process:

  • A valid passport for at least 6 months from the date of travel with at least one blank page
  • A recently taken face photograph (may be taken with your mobile phone or PC camera)

  • If your eVisa to Armenia is not approved you should know that it is most likely due to a mismatch between your passport details and the details provided in the online visa application form. Please remember that anytime you may contact our support team that will make every possible effort to make necessary corrections and obtain a positive approval of your visa application.
  • When you receive your eVisa, make sure to get a printed copy of it so that you can submit it upon your arrival at the Armenian border checkpoint. You must be aware that you can only enter Armenia with an eVisa through a few border crossings: the Ayrum railway station, Zvartnots International Airport, Bavra, Bagratashen, Gogavan and Meghri checkpoints.
  • If you plan a transit to a third country through Armenia, you do not need an eVisa as long as your transit stop won’t take more than 48 hours.
  • Make sure that your passport remains valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel or otherwise, you won’t be able to visit Armenia.
  • An online visa allows only single entry to Armenia. Therefore, if you are planning to visit Armenia one more time, make sure to apply for a new eVisa.
  • e-Visa to Armenia can be extended for another 60 days. You need to visit the Department of Passport and Visa at the Police Office in Armenia.
