The requirements for obtaining an eVisa to Vietnam are standard ones and they include:

• Internet access and working device:make sure your Internet connection won’t be interrupted to complete an online application successfully. Use any electronic device you have at hand to open and fill out an online form.
• Valid payment method: To cover the eVisa processing fees, you need a valid credit/debit card or any other acceptable means of online payment.
• Email address:After you apply online for an eVisa to Vietnam, your approved electronic permit will be sent to the email provided in the application. This email address will also be used to update you about progress in your application.

Obtaining an online visa simply means filling an application form online. With the required documents ready, this should take only a few minutes of your time.
3-step instruction on Online Application

1. Once you click on the online application button, choose your reason for travelling, which could be either tourism or business. When the application form loads, fill each field as required with the correct details and attach required documents.
2. Next, cover the eVisa fee using a valid means of payment, e.g., a credit or debit card.
3. After completing all the above steps and double-checking that all data provided is correct, click on submit and wait for your eVisa application to be verified. Once approved, your eVisa to Vietnam will be sent to your email as a PDF file.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

• A valid passport:This passport should be at least six months valid starting from the date of your planned arrival.
• Face photograph: A clear picture showing your face is required. As you apply, this should be submitted as a digital copy when filling the application form.

After you have filled the form online and it has been approved, note that you should come along with the following documents upon your entry to Vietnam for verification purposes:

• A valid passport which will still be valid for at least six (6) months before the date you plan to enter Vietnam.
• A printed copy of your approved Vietnamese eVisa.

• Obtaining an eVisa to Vietnam will only consume a few minutes of your time. Moreover, it will save your energy, while all you have to do is provide necessary details and relax while waiting for your visa approval.
• Generally, it is strongly advised to apply for eVisa online at least five (5) working days before your planned departure date. Submitting an application in advance will give you the chance to fix any errors that might arise as you fill the form, as well as guarantee of getting your visa on time.
• No matter what age of a traveler, all foreigners willing to enter Vietnam must apply for an electronic visa, including children. An application on behalf of underage person should be submitted by parents or legal guardians.
• You can extend your stay in Vietnam only after your arrival. It will require an additional fee. To obtain more information, you need to contact Immigration Department in Vietnam.
• Please remember that any change of data of your passport or its expiration will make your e visa invalid.
• Electronic visas are accepted only in a few ports of entry. Should you change your boarding point, you will need to apply for a new visa.
