The Romanian eVisa is a multiple-entry permit that eligible travellers can use to visit the country numerous times within 6 months of its validity period, while staying for up to 3 months.
These are the Romanian eVisa types you can apply for:

  1. Tourist eVisa to Romania: D suitable for travellers who want to visit Romania for tourism-related purposes.
    Visiting Romania for vacation, travelling to meet friends or family members, exploring tourist destinations in Romania and other similar purposes now is possible with an electronic visa.
  2. Business eVisa to Romania: if you are travelling to participate in a business meeting, negotiate a business deal or entering Romania for similar purposes, it is the most suitable visa type for you.
  3. Transit eVisa to Romania:When travelling to another country but have to stop at Romania for another flight, it is highly recommended to choose the Romanian transit eVisa. Eligible travellers can obtain a single-entry, double-entry or even multiple transit permits.

Please note that you should not spend more than 5 days in Romania with the transit eVisa!

Validity

The validity period depends on the Romania eVisa type you select:

e-Visa to Romania (whether tourist or business e-visa) stays valid for six months (180) days beginning from the day it was issued. With the Romanian eVisa, eligible travellers can stay in the country for at most 90 days.
In turn, transit e-Visa can be used only for a maximally 5-day transit stop in Romania!

There are actually only three easy steps to follow:

Useful information about eVisa to Romania

  • Don’t forget that your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months starting from the date you plan to make a trip to Romania.
  • It is strongly advised to apply for your Romanian online visa at least 15 working days before your planned departure. Doing so will ensure that all errors are corrected beforehand.
