What is eVisa to Cambodia?


The eVisa to Cambodia was introduced in 2006 so that visitors from the list of eligible countries can travel to Cambodia easily without waiting for long hours to get a visa on arrival.

However, an online visa that was implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, can only be used for travel-related purposes or for a transit to another country. Any other reasons to visit Cambodia require obtaining a visa at the Cambodian Embassy.

Cambodia eVisa Types

Currently, there is only one type of an electronic visa to Cambodia, which is issued as a single-entry permit for a 1-month stay. A traveler can enter Cambodia only once and stay for a maximum of 30 days. An electronic visa to Cambodia serves the following tourism or transit-related purposes:

  • choosing Cambodia as a holiday destination
  • visiting family members or relatives residing in Cambodia
  • exploring the country’s tourist attractions
  • making a transit stop when heading to the final destination

eVisa to Cambodia Validity

The validity of eVisa to Cambodia is 3 months from the date it is issued. Cambodia e-Visa is a single-entry visa and allows its holder to stay for a short duration, which is up to 30 days within the validity period.

This duration can be extended upon request after contacting the National Police Immigration Department of Cambodia. Please remember that you can prolong your electronic visa only upon arrival in Cambodia.

The following requirements should be fulfilled if you are applying for an eVisa to Cambodia.

  • You must not be in Cambodia when applying for an online visa.
  • You need a valid credit/debit card or any other valid means of online payment to cover the e-Visa fee.
  • You need to have a valid email address to receive the eVisa upon its approval.
  • You should check if you have a stable internet connection to complete the online application.
  • You need a working electronic device to submit an online form, such as a smartphone, laptop, etc.

Application Process Guide:
eVisa to Cambodia can be obtained through a simple online process that will only take a couple of minutes of your time. To complete your application successfully and enjoy your e-Visa delivered on time, follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill out the online form by providing your personal details, travel and passport information and upload the required documents. You have to indicate your crossing point through which you plan to enter Cambodia too.
  2. Choose your preferred payment method and pay online for Cambodia e-Visa. If the payment is registered, you will receive the confirmation number. You can use it to follow the progress of your application.
  3. After approval of your e-visa request, the electronic permit will be issued and sent to your email address. This will take up to 3 days, but on average, you will get your eVisa just within 18 hours.

There’s no need to print out e-Visa to the KSA. Nevertheless, it is recommended to save additional copies on a smartphone.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The following documents should be gathered before applying for an eVisa to Saudi Arabia:

  1. A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel with a minimum of 1 blank page (provide a copy of its bio-data page)
  2. A recently taken face photo(don’t worry about its size since our experts will adjust it to the Cambodian requirements, make only sure that the photo is clear)

Important information about eVisa to Cambodia

  • You cannot apply for an online visa to Cambodia if you are not outside the country.
  • eVisa to Cambodia can only be used for tourism-related activities or transit to another country and not for studying or taking up employment in Cambodia.
  • If you are travelling with kids, they are required to submit an online visa application form separately. However, the applications must be submitted by parents or guardians.
  • If you are transiting from Cambodia to a third country destination, you should get an eVisa.
  • You can only enter Cambodia through the following airports: Siem Reap International Airport, Sihanoukville International Airport, Phnom Penh International Airport. Border crossing points recognising electronic visas are as follows: Cham Yeam in Koh Kong Province & Poi Pet in Banteay Meanchey Province of Thailand, Tropang Kreal Border Post of Stung Treng, Bavet in Svay Rieng Province of Vietnam. Please also note that you cannot enter Cambodia through any seaports in the country.
  • You can depart to your home country from whatever border crossing or airport.
