There is only one type of online visa to Russia. This is the single-entry Russian eVisa. As its holder, you can stay in Russia for a maximum of 8 days. Moreover, you need to use it within 30 days from the date it was issued.

Planning your trip accurately requires you to know the time frame you plan to stay. Once approved, the Russian eVisa has a 30 day validity period. The period starts counting from the day e-visa was issued.

With an eVisa to Russia, eligible travellers can visit Russia and stay for up to eight days. Serving as a single-entry permit, it can be used only for one entrance for business or tourism-related purposes.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Travel Insurance proof: You need a proof of your purchased travel insurance as you plan your Russian trip.

Important information

Useful information about eVisa to Russia

  • Your passport should be at least six (6) months valid from the date you planned entering Russia.
  • The Russian eVisa is only a single-entry permit. You have to apply for a new one if you leave the country and want to re-enter Russia.
  • You don’t need to apply for a transit visa when taking a trip through Russia to another country (as long as you don’t leave the airport transit zone). For transit, you only need a valid passport which allows you to wait for your connecting flight to your destination.
  • Russian eVisa cannot be obtained upon arrival.
  • eVisa to Russia cannot be used as a working permit.
  • It is advisable to apply at least five (5) working days before your planned Russian trip. You can use the confirmation code to follow up your application status.
  • Once you arrive in Russia, you should present to the airport officials these two documents:
    • A printed copy of your approved Russian eVisa
    • Your valid passport
