Generally, here are the requirements needed to apply for an online Visa to Rwanda:

The process of applying for a eVisa to Rwanda is very simple and straightforward.

You can use your smartphone, PC or any working device to apply online. This application can be completely done at home, provided that you have a stable internet connection.

These are the steps to follow to submit an online application:

1. Complete an application form online: You will be required to provide your basic details, passport information and email address. You will also have to state your purpose for visiting Rwanda. Ensure that all details are correct by cross checking them.
2. Make a payment online for the eVisa to Rwanda fee: This should be done using one of available means of payment. Once the payment has been successfully registered, an email containing your confirmation code will be sent to your inbox.
3. Relax and check your inbox: Your application will be reviewed by experts and upon approval, your Rwanda eVisa will be sent as a PDF file to your email address. Don’t forget to print it out!

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

• Passport biodata page: A clear digital copy of your valid passport biodata page.
• Face photograph: A photo clearly showing your face is required. Don’t worry, you can take this photo using the camera of your phone or PC.

• If you are on transit through Rwanda to another country, then you don’t need any extra documents provided you will not leave the transit zone.
• It is strongly advised to apply for eVisa to Rwanda at least three (3) business days before your planned trip.
• The validity period begins counting from the date you plan to enter Rwanda and not the date it was issued.
• Please note that this online visa to Rwanda doesn’t serve as a working permit.
