Myanmar eVisa Types

Eligible travellers can travel to Myanmar for different reasons. Depending on their travel needs they can choose one of these two types:

  1. Myanmar Tourist eVisa: This e-visa type serves as a single-entry permit, allowing visitors to stay in Myanmar even up to 28 days. This type is suitable for tourism-related activities, incl.visiting friends and family members, going for vacation, etc.
  2. Myanmar Business eVisa: Just like the name suggests, it is advisable to choose this eVisa if you plan visiting Myanmar for business-related activities.
    Serving as a single-entry permit, business eVisa allows visiting the country to attend business meetings, discuss business deals, take part in business training, and many more.
    All travellers from eligible countries can visit Myanmar and stay maximally 70 days.

It is also important to note that you need an eVisa for transit trips when travelling through Myanmar to another country!

eVisa to Myanmar Validity

Once you apply for an electronic visa to Myanmar, note that it stays valid for three (3) months from the date your application was approved. This validity period is the same for both the tourist eVisa and the business eVisa. However, the duration of stay once you arrive in Myanmar isn’t the same:

  • With the tourist electronic visa, visitors are permitted to stay in the country for a period of 28 days.
  • Choosing a business online visa means that an eligible visitor can stay in Myanmar for up to 70 days.
  • It is important to plan your trip properly before the 90 days (3 months) validity period expires.

    Before you begin your application for the Myanmar eVisa, ensure that you have all the needed items to make the process of application successful.
